Peace and well-being in motion
The Four Noble Truths
1. The Truth of Suffering – Dukkha
Life involves suffering in many forms: physical pain, difficult emotions, dissatisfaction, or constant change. Recognizing this reality is the first step toward understanding and inner transformation.
2. The Truth of the Origin of Suffering – Samudaya
Suffering has a cause: desire or attachment. This desire arises from the longing for pleasure, from clinging to what changes, and from the rejection of what we do not want to experience.
3. The Truth of the Cessation of Suffering – Nirodha
It is possible to free oneself from suffering. By eliminating attachment and desire, one achieves a state of lasting peace and inner freedom, known as Nirvana.
4. The Truth of the Path Leading to the Cessation of Suffering – Magga
There is a practical path to achieving this liberation: the Noble Eightfold Path. This path includes ethical principles, mental discipline, and the development of wisdom.

Understanding the Four Noble Truths allows us to observe life more clearly and develop an attitude of acceptance and balance. They are a universal guide that transcends cultures and eras, and offer a solid foundation for those beginning a path of self-knowledge and inner practice like yoga.
