🌸Insecurity and Self-Esteem in Our Journey as Women

The insecurity we feel as women at different stages of life

As women, we have all felt at some point that inner voice that makes us doubt our worth. Sometimes it comes up in specific situations —a job interview, a difficult conversation, a physical change— and other times it simply appears without a clear reason. Our mind and our self-esteem have good and bad days, and that is completely natural.

We can’t always feel “on top of the world.” Our mood changes, partly because of physiological and hormonal processes that influence the way we see ourselves. Some days we feel strong, radiant, and capable of anything, and others vulnerability and insecurity seem to settle in.

What really matters is remembering that all states are temporary. Just as the waves come and go, so do our emotions and thoughts. If you ever feel insecure, bring to mind those moments when you felt powerful, confident, and full of life. Those memories are proof of your inner strength.

The practice of mindfulness can help us observe our mind without judgment, recognizing both the good days and the not-so-good ones with the same compassion. When we pay attention to the possible causes of our insecurity —fatigue, stress, hormonal changes, or comparisons— we can soften their impact and remind ourselves that they do not define our worth.

Changing our inner narrative is an act of self-care: instead of repeating to ourselves “I’m not enough,” we can open space for more constructive thoughts such as “I’m learning,” “I’m growing,” or simply “Today I allow myself to be as I am.”

Self-confidence is not a final destination, but a journey. And on that journey, self-compassion is your greatest ally.
